Journal of Immunity, Jan - March 2005 Paris, France - Prednisolone, a cortisol like hormone, increased and stabilized CD4 counts in a 10 year study in a fraction of of HIV seropositive patients. Short term use of Prednisone increased CD4 counts in patients on HAART. Immune factors that AIDS and cancer have in common, Ashwagandha, an Indian herb, increases T3 and T4 and thyroid activity in mice as well an increased SOD and catalase levels and reduced lipid perixidation.
